Ms. Gegare - 1^st and 2^nd Grade

Bio: My name is Jami Gegare and I teach first and second grade. I graduated from UW Stout with a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education in 2006. I have been at Saint Joseph School for three years. Besides teaching I coordinate the After School Program in the afternoons. During my free time I enjoy reading, rollerblading, and doing jigsaw puzzles.

 

Class Topics for February:

Math: We are working on counting, adding, and subtracting money.

Science - During February we will be learning about dinosaurs.

 

Social Studies - We are learning about ancestries. We are working on our nationality    

                    Project.           

Religion – We will learn about Ash Wednesday, Lent, and Stations of the Cross.

 

English - We are working on Helping Verbs and Linking verbs.

 

Reading - Second graders are working on Autobiographies. First graders are working on

             topic sentences, main idea, and detail sentences.
