About Me:
My name is Lori Rabas. I am married to Tom and have two daughters, Jennifer and Katie. I have been teaching at Saint Joseph School for 7 years. Altogether I have taught for 21 years. I am so excited to be teaching here at Saint Joseph School, Inc.
Here are some things we are working on:
Math - Telling time to the hour on digital and analog clocks; identifying penny, nickel and dime and their values
Reading - Short vowel sounds, vowel teams, consonant blends, sight word "but"
Language Arts - Writing sentences using periods, question marks and exclamamtion points
Religion - Learning the Hail Mary in sign language, identifying items in church
Social Studies - Comparing travel now and in the past
Science - Inside the human body

Things to Work on at Home
Please work on the following things with your child:
- address and phone number
- basic addition and subtraction problems
- sounding out words
- rhyming
- sight words
- counting to 100
- identifying numbers to 50
- basic shapes and 3D solids (cone, sphere, cube and cylinder)
- writing sentences - putting spaces between words and using the correct ending punctuation
